First Hanse 460 is in the water

The first sea trial with the new Hanse 460 on the Greifswalder Bodden was very promising. After careful development and design work, the approximately 47-foot-long sailing yacht was the first in her model series to complete her maiden voyage. 

Performant Hull and comfortable Handling

In a fresh breeze of 12 to 22 knots, the development team from HanseYachts AG and the experts from Quantum Sails cast off the lines for a test sail. Both the performance of the new hydrodynamic hull design and the comfortable handling during manoeuvres generated enthusiasm. With a speed of 7 knots downwind and 12 knots top speed under mainsail and reacher, the yacht gave a first taste of her potential.  

Expectations Fullfilled

“The Hanse 460 fully met our expectations and proved very agile under sail. She always remained controllable under sail as well as under motor thanks to the direct rudder feedback and good manoeuvrability.
