Hanse 430 „Minnic“ successful at Palma Vela

The Hanse 430 "Minnic" (owner: Eiken Albers of Berlin, Germany) achieved at Palma Vela Race in the bight of Palma de Mallorca (20th to 22nd of April) in class ORCi 0 overall rank second with individual placings 2-2-1-2-2.

With this result in the first series of the year 2012 the crew felt very happy. "This is the 5th season of the modified series production boat, built by Hanse in epoxy, and she is still very competitive", the owner Albers said. The Palma Vela is an international race for offshore yachts and beside the Copa del Rey the most important of the hosting Real Club Nautico de Palma. 115 yachts of 16 nations competed.

HANSE SMART MOORING SYSTEM (SMS)

16:14 7-04-2012Manoeuvring by means of a joystick thanks to the coordination of the bow and stern thrusters and the main drive.

HanseYachts has chosen its Hanse 445 and 496 models to be the first to benefit from the brand-new SMS joystick-based manoeuvring system as from the start of the 2011-12 model year. This system has been developed internally by HanseYachts in collaboration with various partners from the maritime industry.
