Inaugural Hanse Cup off the coast of Palma de Majorca

Attention all Hanse enthusiasts: now Majorca too has its own regatta. In cooperation with our Spanish trading partner Marina Estrella and with kind support from the Club Náutico de Palma, Hanse Yachts is organizing the first Hanse Cup in the waters off the coast of Majorca.

From May 9th through the 11th, sailing enthusiasts can show off what they, and their yacht, can do on the waters off of the Spanish island in the Mediterranean. Sailing will be done according to Yardstick, and the fastest yacht will receive the blue ribbon, which will also be defended in the ensuing years.

Of course we haven’t forgotten about the social aspects. After the sporting festivities have been completed on the water, a lavish show program awaits the sailors back on land. And in case anything is broken, Hanse Yachts will provide around the clock repair services.

The Spanish Balearic islands are among the most beloved sailing locations in Europe. Even King Juan Carlos has his sailing vessels in the port of Palma. One of the most important international sailing events in the world, the “Copa del Rey” regatta, takes place in his honor every year.
