Hanse-Cup vor Santo Stefano

The 3rd edition of the Hanse Cup was disputed ,as always, at Marina degli Aregai, Santo Stefano al Mare (IM), Italy.

Yet again this year the partnership between one of the Hanse importers: Lagon Yachting & the Yacht Club Marina degli Aregai enabled the trails to be disputed in two days, with a buoy course, which enabled the various Owner's of the German  Hanse  yacht range to compete against each other.

On the first day the wind was low and favoured the teams that had a "delicate" style, wheras on the second day the wind rose to over 20 knots which privileged the "rough" sailors.

Twleve yachts particpated and the final classification crowned the victory of the Hanse 540  " Sugar & Spice"  Skipper Mr. Pini.,followed by a Hanse 461 " Viky V" Skipper Mr. Bodino and the Hanse 531 "Albachiara" Skipper Mr. Masci.

For most of the yachts the pause at Marina degli Aregai, home port of LAGON AYCHTING SRL,  was also a step towards the next  GIRAGLIA and a fine tuning of their yachts before this very iimportant and difficult regatta.

The meetings and final celebrations also gave the opportunity to the various Owners to familiarise and exchange opinions & advice on the best way to sail these splendid yachts.

"As per the previous two editions " said Paol Rosti of LAGON YACHTING " again this year it was an enormous satisfaction to assist the participation of  the Hanse Yacht Onwers and witness the spontaneous friendliness that was created in such a brief time-span between the teams, an evident sign that the purchase of a Hanse Yacht  is also an expression of  values and lifestlye and not just a boat to sail.

We are still In the early days of the Hanse Cup Regatta, but these three editions have given satisfaction and the conviction that with our dedication this event will grow and maybe even next year we will see amongst our pariticpants one of the new Hanse 430's in regatta version.

So the appointment for 2009 is a must for the Hanse Owners. !
